1.Rhemidy wanted to watch “Monkey George” (Curious George) so we put him on the lap top for her to watch, then we sat Hadi in her bumbo and placed her next to Rhem. Rhemidy thought it was so funny, then told Hadi all about George and could not stop smiling. Love watching them bond!
2.On Saturday morning I took some photos of a family I absolutely adore.
They are expecting baby number 3 in a matter of weeks! So exciting and I am hoping she has a girl! ๐Ÿ™‚
3.On Saturday evening we celebrated my B-I-L birthday! My husband insisted that I make his cake princess theme. ๐Ÿ™‚
4. On Sunday we went to Iowa City to celebrate our friend’s son 3rd birthday!
5. We also got to finally meet our friends daughter, Stella. She was born 19 hours before Hadiley. ๐Ÿ™‚
6. We have been getting back into preschool time, and Rhem loves to stand in front of her friends and attempt to sing her ABC’s.
7.Such a happy baby! Ahhh!
8. Last night we had our friends for dinner and Rhem had miss Ryleigh to play with!

I am now in the process of spring cleaning, getting things ready for family babyshowers, and getting excited to meet my cousins little boy she had last night!

Ahh. I am slacking on updating. I have been so busy lately, I just have no had time to sit down and update. I will post tomorrow in fragments about all that we have been doing this past weekend/week.

I did end up getting a D&C yesterday, to remove some placenta that was left over from delivering 11 weeks ago. I am feeling rather crampyย  today, but hoping it passes soon and I can start working out and getting back to my pre babies body.

Today Hadiley is 11 weeks old. She is already becoming so big, and I do not like it! haha. She is such an easy, awesome baby and I love every moment of it! I am excited for her to get a bit older though and be able to watch her and Rhem play though. She has started reaching for toys, and wants to put everything in her mouth! Last night at the store, I set Rhems “Wubba Nub” (its a pacifier with a stuffed monkey attached to it) on Hadiley’s lap… next thing I know, Hadiley is trying to put the pacifier and monkey’s foot in her mouth! She also has been trying to roll over, and does little baby crunches in attempts to sit up. And goodness, she is a very loud, talkative baby! I will put her down in her swing while I cook, and she will start talking, very loudly, to the stars on the mobile. Hilarious. As I type this, she is sitting next to me in her bouncer, chewing on her blanket, and talking to a little stuffed giraffe that is dangling down in front of her. How I love those baby coos.

Rhem is still throwing tantrums, but is getting better at expressing what it is she wants. She has been drinking from “big girl cups” and putting more sentences together. She has also started singing actual songs. (for a while she would sing, but it would be all made up words… now she sings “Save me, save me, save me…” the intro to SmallVille, “Clean up, Clean up, Everybody!” her clean up song, and she has been learning her Alphabet song as well as the 7 days of the week) She loves to do things her self now, such as taking her clothes/coat on and off, putting her shoes on, brushing her hair/teeth, and opening doors. She also loves to call and talking to people on the phone. (and it is hilarious to watch her walk around and talk on the phone!)

Tonight we are having some friends over and I am making my famous Sweet & Spicy chicken and fried rice. Excited to have adult interaction after dealing with 3 toddlers who are having trouble listening and are being extremely loud and keep waking a sleeping baby this morning! Ahh. my sanity is lost this morning.

Well nap time is FINALLY here, so I must go and get these children to take naps, & hopefully I can enjoy some lunch in peace and quiet!

1. She gets more and more beautiful every day.
2. A new way to mop, Rhem blows bubbles all over, and I mop it up! haha
3. Hadi is getting so big, already 13.5 pounds, and loves her hands.
4.Rhem decided that she didn’t want a shirt today, instead she wanted to wear her Little People mat as a dress.

Things I am planning:
1. Tomorrow I am going back to the doctors and hopefully will be figuring out this whole pp bleeding that is STILL going on. (yesterday marked 10 weeks) Once the bleeding finally stops, I will hopefully not feel so exhausted and be able to start working out again!
2. On monday we will be starting back up with preschool with some fun activities and new books.
We will focus on the letters “R” and “U” for april, and talking about Rain, Rainbows, and Umbrellas. April’s color is Purple, shape is Circle, and Number is One.
3. This weekend I have a photoshoot, a birthday grill out for my BIL, and a birthday party for our friends little boy! Hopefully I can fit in doing a 2 year photoshoot with Rhem, as well.
4. We are still working on our bathroom. We have a picture to hang, finding something for the wall next to the toilet, a few small decorations for some shelves, fix the door, and put up trim. The major parts are all done, just these last few things will hopefully be done soon. After the bathroom is finished, the hallway outside of the bathroom needs major help. We ripped up some ugly wood panaling to find dirty walls that also has some holes. AFTER the hall way, we then have the office room. That room has dry wall up, but it needs to be mudded, painted, flooring needs to be put in, then some shelving and decorations. Oh and the celing needs a paint job. :/ but after all of those, I can give the play room a face lift… which ill involve putting up a wall where a door use to me, mudding the whole room, and re painting it a pretty light blue! I would then like to get rid of abundance of toys, add a little place to read, and make it more into a library with 3 bins of toys… instead of 16 bins of toys lol. THEN we can repaint our living room & fix up our kitchen. Then, our main level will finally be done and wonderful… then we move upstairs. haha.

A Tennessee Adventure

Sorry I have been MIA this last week, we took a short vacation to Nashville, TN for the wedding of a close friend. It was a wonderful trip, and along with the wedding we were able to stay with a friend of ours who moved down to TN a couple years ago! Rhem loved the warmer weather and seeing so many horses. While the city life is of course fun, we really enjoyed staying out in the country. It was a nice, and much needed vacation. And now I can cross off Tennessee of states I want to see. (I really want to travel all 50 states, then travel out of country.. so far I have been to 15 of 50 states!)

Happy 2nd Birthday my sweet little Rhemidy. You are a beautiful, sweet, emotional girl. And I love you more than you will ever know. You are so smart; you impress me everyday with the knowledge you have at such a young age. You are speaking in (short) sentences, know most of your colors, a few letters, and most of your shapes. You are very shy around new people, but warm up pretty quick. You have big, beautiful brown eyes just like your mama. Happy Birthday sweet sweet girl!

2 months (Hadi)

Hadiley is 2 months old today. Her eyes are still a gorgeous blue, and her skin is like porcelain. (I know, I also do not believe she came from me! haha) She spends her day cooing, smiling, nursing, and snuggling. She doesn’t take very many or very long naps during the day, but gets a good 6-7 hours of sleep at night, feeds, then sleeps for an additional 3-4 hours before getting up for the day. She loves to sit up and look around at the world, and she is now starting to reach at toys that dangle from her bouncer. She is such an easy baby, and I love her to pieces! Happy 2 months little miss Hadi!

From a very young age and into high school I was very active in sports. I have tried them all (swimming, basketball, volleyball, softball, & I learned golf from my uncle in TX and use to play a little tennis with my parents during the summer months) but the one sport that stuck from age 4 to age 18 was soccer (futbol). It was a huge passion of mine, and still to this day I love the sport! However, I started having knee problems in junior high, and by my senior year I hung up my cleats. Soccer had kept me in pretty good shape, so after soccer was done I began gaining a little weight. Then I had two kids, and gained a lot more weight. My goal now is to lose some weight, get back to working out and running, and hopefully take those cleats out of storage! My first goal is to lose 8 pounds. Those 8 pounds will bring me back to my pre Hadiley weight. After achieving that loss, my next goal will be to lose 13 pounds. That loss will bring me to my pre Rhemidy weight. After that my main goal will be to build some muscles (read, some, not a lot) and just get in a daily workout routine to keep for life. I would, however, like to then lose an additional 17 pounds to bring me to a good healthy weight for my age/height. (so total we are looking at 38 pounds)

One of the ways I am going about this, is by trying to eat smarter & healthier. I am starting by cutting way back on my sugar in take. Not getting rid of all the sugar, because this girl LOVES her sugar. As well as eating less bread, and the bread I eat will be wheat and rich in fiber and protein. And once I get the go ahead from the docs (still pp bleeding unfortunately), I will start working out; focusing on abs/waist & arms/chest. (my soccer legs are still in pretty good shape ๐Ÿ™‚ ) Also, I found this article to give me some ideas when it comes to meals that go well with breastfeeding!

My breakfast today was some wheat, fiber filled english muffin bread with a little bit of peanut butter and banana. With some delicious, sour green grapes. & crystal light to drink.IMG_9379
For lunch the kids had some frozen pizza, bread sticks, & fruit… it sounded so good, so I took some wheat pita bread, put a little tomato sauce, a little bit of cottage cheese, and some shredded cheese in the middle and cooked it in the oven for 5 minutes at 450… it was awesome! (and that one little pita pizza had 9g of protein! & less than 200 calories!) I also had some strawberry honey flavored greek yogurt with strawberries, blueberries, and black berries. Yum! (and filling!)

Well time for me to get a little quiet time while all the kids are down for naps, then off to play outside in this beautiful spring weather!

peace & joy

1.Teaching Rhem how to separate her colors as well as learn which color is which. So far she has yellow, pink, and blue down!
2. My happy Hadi on Easter Sunday. She is such a happy baby!
My sweet little Rhem on Easter Sunday. Such an energetic, silly girl!
4. Little Miss Hadi is always wanting to suck on her fingers, and refuses to take a binkie! But goodness, she sure is adorable!

I am trying to get back in the rhythm of writing in here daily. I want to come up with a theme for each day… such as on Thursdays I will write a “fragments” entry that will have a few pictures, with a little description of things that have gone on so far in the week. As well as a list of things I am hoping to start accomplishing. I need more ideas of themes for the weeks. After reading over some blogs, I have seen one where they write each week about things that have brought smiles to their face in the middle of the chaos. I also think I will do a day a week where I post a recipe to a dinner or dessert I make. I need more ideas!

Things on my mind I am hoping to accomplish in the near future:
1. I would like to begin crafting items that I can turn around and sell. I just cannot decided if I want to do like hair accessories, scarfs, toddler dresses, blankets, little plush dolls, or what.
2. I want to get my Agape Ministries starting back up, and focusing on Ding Dong Giving, an organization that provides a laundry basket filled with items such as books, food, toiletries, cleaning supplies, and clothing items that are left on the porch of people in need with just a little note wishing them blessings. I want to make new (and improved) shirts supporting that organization.
3.I would love to start blogging more about parenting, crafting, fashion, or what have you, and find sponsors and hopefully collect an income on my blogging.
4. I would eventually love to do giveaways. Rather it be items that I create (refer to number 1), a free tshirt supporting Agape and/or Ding Dong Giving (refer to number 2), an item from a sponsor, or items that I come along that I think are awesome to help with baking/cooking/parenting/everyday life and want to share with you guys!

Why, what big eyes you have!

This past weekend we celebrated my sweet little Rhem’s SECOND birthday. My girl has grown up so fast! I love the child she is becoming! She is smart, sweet, and has such a personality! Although, she can be rather emotional time to time. (she gets that from me) I love, no really, LOVE throwing parties. I love decorating. I love making food. I love coming up with ideas. Last year her birthday was owls & birds themed (the same theme her room is) and this year her theme was “Little Red Riding Hood”… or “Littleย Rhem Riding Hood” as I called it. ๐Ÿ™‚ It was a success.
