Let’s get messy.

IMG_0631 IMG_0639 IMG_0651 IMG_0652 IMG_0656 IMG_0664 IMG_0665 IMG_0672 IMG_0689

Today we attended a messy play date. The girls played in a sandbox, played with moon dough, sidewalk paint, finger painted, dug for treasures in frozen jello, colored with markers, and frosted some sugar cookies. They had a blast and was very sad to leave. I love when we get out of the house and engage with other kids. Rhem has really started to open up more, and make friends when we are out and about. Sometimes we get worried, because she often likes to stand on the side lines and watch kids play, not really engaging in any conversation with anyone. But since we got our cat, she has become way more social. She loves telling everyone she meets about her kitty at home, which she seems to use as an ice breaker, then she is up for playing and singing and being a goofy 3 year old with her new found friends. Hadiley, being only 18 months, doesn’t engage in conservations, but she seems to be a go getting and loves to follow bigger kids around. She doesn’t seem to care much about socializing with kids around her own age though, haha.

The girls really seemed to love getting all messy, so while they are napping I made some playdough for them to play with when they make up. It was super easy, and extremely soft. I used 2tbs of conditioner, yes what you wash your hair with, and 3 1/2 – 4tbs of corn starch and knead with my hands. the end. I am excited to let the girls play with it when they wake up, and bonus, it makes your hands super soft in the end! πŸ™‚

(I found the play-dough recipe here.)

37 weeks!

FULL TERM. WOOT!

Sunday marked 37 weeks. Ahh baby will be here SO soon. We are (almost) ready for his arrival. When we bought our house, the previous owners had opened up a wall of the first bedroom on the main floor so that it was open to the living room, and making it a play room for the kids (The lady bought the house to use as a daycare) and the second bedroom had an awkward closet and a door that was old and missing a door knob. So our bedroom/ the girls bedroom was in the upstairs, which was a finished attic that has horrible air/heat. So in prepartion for this baby, and to help us when we go to sell this house, my husband has been getting the 1st bedroom back into a bedroom (putting a wall back up, and getting a door, as well as lots of other work) and redoing the closet and replacing the door in the second bedroom (as well as painting and fixing the ceiling that was damaged from some water).

ANYWAYS. So far the 1st bedroom (which will be the Hubby and I’s bedroom as well as the nursery) has the crown molding up, walls painted, door fitted, and wood floors sanded and polyed. Today after work he plans to trim the door, take the door itself back down so he can sand and paint it (we got an awesome vintage door), and put up the baseboard. If he gets all the done today, all that will be left is covering the nail holes on the trim/ baseboard/ crown molding. THEN WE CAN MOVE EVERYTHING IN! I cannot wait to decorate our bedroom and nursery. I have almost everything, we just need some curtain rods, and a different mattress for the crib, and some sheets. The 2nd bedroom still as a bit of work. (This will be the girls room) My husband re drywalled the ceiling and the closet, as well as opening the closet up so it is easier to access. We are waiting for a coworker of my husbands to come and mudd the ceiling and closet, then we can paint! After painting we have a ceiling fan to instal and we can move the girls beds and decor in! Hoping by (not this but) next weekend to have both rooms completely done!

Boy’s bag is completely packed. Carseat is ready to go. My bag is pretty much completely packed. (All that is missing is extra comfy clothes that I will throw in before we leave to the hospital, as well as my makeup) I still need to pack a little bag for the girls with books and their “gifts from brother” so they have something to do at the hospital when they visit.

Ahh. I am just so excited to finally meet this little guy! I cannot wait to smell him, and cuddle him, and see WHO HE LOOKS LIKE. My prediction (okay, really my hope) is for dark, dark hair and green eyes! (Really, because we already have a blondie and a brunette, and one with blue eyes and one with brown eyes. lol) I am thinking he will probably wait to bless us with his presence until after his due date, simply for the fact his sisters were stubborn so I figure he will be too, but I do have an appointment on Thursday so we will see what they think. πŸ™‚ I feel he is still pretty high up, but 3 weeks ago they sad his head was already pretty low down, so I have no idea. πŸ™‚

36 weeks

_MG_9851 _MG_9854 _MG_9856 _MG_9858 IMG_9861IMG_9878

This past weekend marked 36 weeks. Only 4 more weeks until my EDD. πŸ˜€

My friend (and our kids Godmom) threw me a little babyshower for our newest little arrow. I got some adorable clothes for the baby boy, along with some baby basics. I also ordered our mini crib which should be here in a few days! I am so excited, and so thankful for everyone who has been helping us get ready to welcome baby boy. Yesterday the hubby and I put the final coat of paint in our new room/nursery. Today he plans to get the trim up. We are hoping by this weekend everything will be done and ready to move all our stuff in. And Hopefully next week the girls room will be done to move all their things in.

At 36 weeks, we have boy’s bag packed, my bag partially packed, and most of the things we need ordered. I have been having TONS of braxton hicks, LOTS of presure, and I have gotten to the point that it sucks to pick things up off the floor! haha. I have an appointment this Thursday, and then I will have one every week until he decides to bless the world with his arrival. πŸ™‚

35 weeks.

I am still here! Just been busy as ever. The count down has really begun. This past weekend marked 35 weeks for baby and me. 5 more weeks to go before we become a family of FIVE! Crazy. So here is my 35 week (and 3 days) update. πŸ™‚

note:I have been wanting to do a pregnancy update, so last night, sans makeup and a shower, I decided to take some pictures. Ha.

IMG_9798 IMG_9815

35 weeks. Baby is the size of a Coconut (that seems small, but whatever you say thebump.com) measuring in around 17.2-18.7 inches and weighing around 4.2-5.8 pounds. During the day he isn’t all that active, obviously doing his 10 movements in an hour, however, it isn’t until I lay down to go to sleep that he suddenly has a dance party. ALL. NIGHT. LONG. But hey, I can’t sleep anyways, so might as well get some bonding time in with this little guy. πŸ˜‰

I have his bag packed, and this week I plan to start getting my bag packed as well as his car seat ready. The last couple days I have started to get really excited. I have been excited about a 3rd and our first boy since the moment I found out I was pregnant, but I am now getting to the, “OMGOODNESS. I AM HAVING A BOY. I CANNOT WAIT TO SEE HIM/SMELL HIM/LOVE ON HIM!!!!” phase. Luckily that chance will be here in a month!!! πŸ™‚

Rhem is also gettingΒ  excited. Telling everyone how her baby brother will be here soon and she gets to hold him and change his diapers πŸ™‚ Hadiley just wants to play the drums on my belly. Daddy is excited but also is stressing if he will get done painting and putting trim/base up in our bedrooms so we can move all our stuff into them before baby gets here. (which would be WONDERFUL if we were able to, but it won’t be the end of the world if it’s not finished until after the baby gets here.)

Oh sweet baby boy. You could not have a mommy or daddy or siblings more excited for your arrival than you already do. We cannot wait to see that sweet face of yours and see who you get your looks from. We already have so much love for you. See you in a few, short weeks. πŸ™‚

1. Rhem loves being a big sister. This Sunday we attended a new church, and for the first time Rhem and Hadiley had to be put in different nursery. I was a bit worried how both would do, but after the morning at church, followed by the picnic/lunch with the congregation, Rhem got in the car and said, “Daddy, I made new friends today!” πŸ™‚ Does a mama’s heart good to see her girl being social and making new friends. Especially since in less than 2 months I will be done with daycare, at least for a while, so she no longer will be seeing her friends everyday that she has know her whole life thus far.

2. Hadiley seems like she might be more tom boy than Rhem. She loves to play Barbies, but her favorite is Ken. She loves to play dress up, but skips the dresses and goes straight for the batman cape. Whenever at a store the ONLY toy she wants is some kind of ball. I love the differences in their personalities, yet they are still best of friends. I pray they always are.

3. Baby #3. Boy. 32 weeks, 4 days. I feel HUGE. His favorite time to move is early in the morning and in the middle of the night. He seems to be growing great and healthy as can be. Cannot wait to meet you in less than 2 months!

**these pictures were taken on Thursday for my weekly update, buuuut I never found the time. So here it is, late. lol***”

Long weeks, short weekends.

This week and last week have been SO LONG. I have been working everyday from 7am-6pm and my poor hubs has been going to work at 6:30am, getting off at 3pm, getting a hour to find something to eat, then going to night class until 9pm. Then last weekend the hubby had Drill (army stuff) all day Saturday and from 7am-1pm on Father’s day. Friday things will finally go back to normal for a couple weeks, before he starts another night class, but thankfully that one is only 2 nights and then he’ll be done. He is suppose to leave for Annual Training (more Army stuff) at the end of July for 3 weeks, 5 hours away. Oh did I mention that that my due date falls in the middle of those 3 weeks! He is trying to get out of it, since he just got back from a 2 week training last month. Otherwise, He’ll have to go and once I am in labor I can call and they will give him a call to head back home. I am worried he won’t make it in time, seeing as my last labor was only 4 hours long and he will be 5 hours away. And I kinda need him this time lol He was awesome and active in the other 2 births (he caught both babies) but this is the first birth I plan to do all natural with no drugs, so I really want him there to help me through the contractions and what have you. I am trying not to stress about it, and trusting God that everything will work out perfectly, but as the birth gets closer (I am 32 weeks an 3 days already!) I start to really think about it, and how he might miss the birth of our first boy.

Anways, with the buisiness of our lives lately I have not had time to update the blog, or get many pictures. I keep writing on my dry erase board how many weeks I am and the size of the baby so I can do my week to week pregnancy pictures, but never get around to actually taking the picture. But I Promise, tomorrow I WILL do my picture a week of the kids, and Sunday I WILL do a pregnancy update picture. (and if I don’t… well, sorry! lol)

This past weekend, since dad was working, the girls and I decided to go out and have some fun. We tried a new donut place across the river, which the girls LOVED. And we spent the day at Nana’s house with the cousins playing in the sprinkler, in a homemade outdoor tent, playing with chalk, and digging for worms. πŸ™‚ On Sunday (which I didn’t get any pictures. sad.) we spent the morning waiting for Daddy to get off work so we could celebrate Father’s day. We thought the latest would be noon but held out hope he would get done sooner, but FINALLY at 1 he got released. We headed out for lunch, followed by ooing and awwing over the cats, dogs, bunnies, lizard, and guinea pigs at the humane society. We then decided to look at houses. We’re wild. lol I am hoping for a fun weekend coming up, filled with a morning at the spray park, with shopping and lunch at the farmers market, then home for nap and playing outside while mom and dad work on the house some more, and ending the night with a late night movie at the park. Sunday, I think we will try a new church. We LOVE our pastor at our current church, and it is my childhood church that has been a second home to me since I was in junior high, but I think it is time we find a new church that has more young married couples with young kids for us to fellowship with.

Girls. Girls. Girls.

_MG_8168 _MG_8197 _MG_8215 _MG_8217

This week has been filled with girls. While my sister has been subbing, I have been watching my three beautiful nieces and Rhem and Hadiley LOVE it. Rhem is glued to her big cousin, Leona’s hip. But also making sure she makes time to feed at least one bottle to baby Lana. Hadiley watches Toria and is sure to run and take anything that Tori attempts to play with, just so she can hand it back to her, as if she is giving her permission to play with her toys. You can imagine how loud my house has been these last few days haha Thankfully all the girls seem to be very happy (expect for nap time, but that is expected. Why kids hate nap, I will never understand, because I LOVE when I get a chance to nap! haha) Gosh we sure to have a lot of beautiful girls in our family πŸ˜‰ And this boy is going to be smothered with love by all these females in his life (and probably will receive a lot of Sass, too!)

*Rhem was in a “DON’T TAKE MY PICTURE, MOM” type mood today. stinker.

MIA

Well, as you can tell, I haven’t been updating much lately. Everyday I wake up with the plan to make time to get some pictures, or try a new recipe, or sew something up, and update the blog. But due to lack of sleep this last week, a hubby working from 7am-3:30pm, then attending night school from 4:30pm-9:15pm, and me staying home with our two girls, my 3 nieces, and one daycare child, on top of being 30+ weeks pregnant, equals one EXHAUSTED mama. Last night I actually did take some 31 weeks pregnant, only to upload them and see I had set the focus wrong and they all were pretty darn blurry. I thought about retaking them, but instead I quickly gave my girls bath, got them ready for bed, cleaned the house, made the Hubby’s lunch, and went to bed. Ha.

The rest of this week will probably continue on being busy busy busy, but hoping this weekend I can finally do some update blogging. (Although with PJ having Drill during the day on Saturday and part of Sunday, an with Father’s Day being Sunday, we will see if I have time.) And next M-F will pretty much be the same as this week.

But seeing as the girls are currently occupied, I have a few minutes to spare.

Rhem surprises me everyday. This girl loves to learn, loves to explore, and is such a nurturer. While her sister is starting the “testing limits and hitting” stage, Rhem is very patient with her and has yet to strike back. I am really wanting to get her in some classes soon, like dance or gymnastics. And hopefully she will be getting swimming lessons soon as well. Often times I find myself just watching her, wondering HOW I already have a child who is 3 (going on 13) and how blessed I am with such a sweet, silly three year old!

Hadiley. Oh my wild child. She hates strollers (unless they are in our house, then she must be pushed all around our small house…) as well as carriers, she wants to walk…err. run. Which would be fine, if she would listen and follow us, or you know, hold my hand. I am just realizing that she is starting to growing taller, so I am constantly putting clothes away that I literally just got out of storage. She has mastered the art of kissing without drooling ALL OVER your face, and although she doesn’t always want to give mom or dad a kiss, when she does, she HAS to give you 15 in a row. Her vocabulary is growing each day, which I love, but sad to see my baby girl growing up SO fast. (and I mean FAST! seeing as she walked 3 whole months before Rhem learned to walk.) She is now saying:
More, All done, Mom, Dada, Up, Please, Thank You, I love you, Bye/Hi, No, Yes.

Where have my babies gone? Well, all is good, because baby boy will be here in 9 weeks!! I am very excited for August to get here, so I will have my newborn little boy, an 18 month toddler girl, and my 3 and half year old teenager. πŸ˜‰ I had an appointment last Friday, I was measure right on tract, no swelling, good blood pressure, and great numbers on my glucose test. And heart beat was strong. My next Appointment is Next Friday, when I will be 32 weeks 5 days, then I will have another at 34w. 5d. Then 36w.5d. Then 37w. 5d. then 38w.5d. then 39w.5d. and then HOPEFULLY baby will be here! 6 more appointments (maybe 7) Ahh. So close.

I love knowing he will be here so soon, but at the same time I look around the house and thing, Oh no, we have only 9 weeks to finish all these rooms. (Kitchen needs finished primed and painted. Living room needs trim and baseboard put up, hallway needs second coat of primer plus paint and baseboard, “green” room needs to finish being mudded, then primed, then painted, then base board, then a door put on, oh and we need to add lights to the room, THEN we can finally bring our bed and dresser down and set up for baby, then the “blue” room needs the ceiling replaced because of some mold, then painted, then we can turn it back into the girls room. Oh and the bathroom still needs baseboard. Writing this list makes me want to cry. haha.) After baby gets here, we then can move to focusing on repainting the upstairs and getting new baseboard and trim up there, and focus on the outside, which will includ painting some of the house, LOTS of weeding, and tearing somethings out. so. much. work. blah.

Okay. now I must clean up all the crumbs my sweet Hadiley just poured all over the couch and new rug, and clean up the water that Rhem spilled during her “tea” party, and finish cleaning up dinner.

30 weeks.

_MG_8031 _MG_8040 IMG_8020 IMG_8021

Today Baby boy is 30 weeks. 10 more weeks!!! He is the size of a cucumber. (15.2-16.7 inches in length, 2.5-3.8 pounds)

On Friday I went and had my second glucose blood test. I am expecting it to come back negative, since I had negative result with both girls, and my first test at 22 weeks was negative with this pregnancy, but they insisted I take two, since I have big babies. My next appointment is this upcoming Friday, which will just check my blood pressure, and babies heart beat. I am so excited we are in the final 10 weeks of pregnancy. I cannot wait to meet this little guy!

This weekend I was able to find this awesome dresser/changing table for the boy (for only $20!), and got the top drawer filled with all his pocket and prefold diapers πŸ™‚ Next I will be placing all his adorable little clothes in. πŸ™‚

Next weekend we will be getting family pictures and maternity pictures done! I am so excited. Our last family pictures were when I was pregnant with Rhem, so it will be good to have some with both girls haha. This week is also the hubs birthday. So we have a busy, but fun, week ahead of us. πŸ™‚

1. Rhem woke up very happy today, knowing that after 2 weeks that seemed like months, daddy is home. And he brought her new Army pajamas.
2. Hadiley also got new pajamas, she also seems to think that brothers car seat is a toy for her…
3. Baby #3. Boy. 29 weeks. 5 days. Feeling pretty awesome, just outrageously tired all. the. time.
